Environmental Areas of Concern:
1. As recognized in their just issued publication, "Cooling the Hot Spots" the National Audubon ranks the invasive Cord Grass, Spartina alternifora, in Willapa Bay number two on the national ten worst list. Our chapter has the dubious honor of hosting this insidious intertidal grass. Thanks to the tireless effort of a few, this situation, after more than two decades of expansion to around 10,000 acres, is now getting its due recognition and hopefully the begining of real control.
