On Earth Day, April 18, WHAS members joined Friends of Fox Creek to remove invasive English ivy and blackberries and improve the trail at Fox Creek in Rainier, OR.

It's been very satisfying to see the positive impact annual 3-hour work days have had on the habitat.  Many areas of the trail were full of blooming native species, but as the photograph of members enjoying the post-work BBQ shows, there are areas that still need to be reclaimed for native species.
